Bunded Oil Tank With Built-in Fire Protection

The inbuilt fireproof material means it comes with a fire rating that might otherwise have to be provided by bulky external fire screen. These screens would be installed around the tank, further increasing its visual impact on its surroundings.

With a Tuffa FirePro Fire Rated Oil Tank, these fire barriers are avoided as the protection is inside the tank.  Meaning it is simpler to comply with the building regulations with regard to distance from windows, doors, combustible buildings and garden boundaries.

Fire Resistant Oil Tank Regulations

Fully bunded fire-protected oil tanks offer easy installation in locations that would otherwise require further fire protection, such as within 1.8m of a window, shed or flue outlet or within 0.76m of a non-fire rated boundary (eg. wooded fence or boundary hedge). Please check current building regulations for up-to-date rules on oil storage and fire protection requirements.
