These are the standard of choice these days because current regulations for fire safety and the environment often require secondary containment. This double skin protects the area around it from the hazardous oil inside.
This is done by commonly taking the plastic single skin variant and attaching it to the lower ¾ of the bund. The bunds are often produced in two parts a larger lower bund and an upper ‘lid’. The two are then attached to each other to form a complete bund with a hatch.
Inside the bund, there will be the tank that holds the oil with the gauge and other equipment.

Oil Fired Technical Association – OFTEC Provide a checklist for the installation of oil storage that states a Bunded Oil Storage is required when the tank:
An oil tank located in a flood risk area or an area exposed to high winds will require a Tank Restraint. This prevents the risk of tank tipping and causing damage to itself and potentially leaking oil.
Fire risks are also an important concern of ours when we install any fuel storage tanks. That’s why we adhere to OFTEC’s Fire Hazard checklist that states Fire Protection is needed if the Oil Tank is located:
